where the stereo is first, that reveals 2 screws, there's another under the ashtray, just pull that out and then there are the three you mentioned under the armrest, you must also remove the shift knob which is just twisted into place (rotate it counterclockwise). To remove the piece where the stereo is, remove 3 covers, two up top where the top vents are, and the one right above the stereo. Look hard, because they are supposed to be stealthy. Then that reveals 4 screws.
